Rhode Island Brain Bee Competition and Free Lessons
The Brown Brain Bee is a neuroscience outreach program for students ages 13–18 in Rhode Island. We offer virtual and in-person weekly neuroscience classes from September to February, leading up to the Brain Bee competition.
This year, the Brown Brain Bee will be held on February 27th from 1:00–3:30 PM. A separate registration form for the competition will be provided closer to the date. Stay up to date on registration and news on Instagram @brownbrainbee.
Class Times
- Fridays from 3:00–4:00 PM (Zoom)
- Saturdays from 3:00–4:00 PM (in person)
Our lessons are taught by Brown University students using the Brain Facts Book curriculum. We introduce students to fundamental topics in neuroscience in an engaging, supportive environment while connecting them with Brown student mentors who share their excitement for brain science.
The Competition
The Rhode Island Brain Bee is an annual neuroscience competition for high school students, hosted by the Brown Brain Bee every February. Our winner will advance to represent Rhode Island at the USA National Brain Bee.
